Scott also assists federal and state civilian employees in asserting claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.  He represents individual clients in criminal and traffic cases in Virginia state courts and before the US Magistrate in the Eastern District of Virginia.

A native of Newport News, VA, Scott attended the College of William & Mary on an ROTC scholarship.  Upon earning his law degree from Campbell University, Scott served in the Army JAG Corps in a variety of worldwide assignments, including Fort Belvoir Staff Judge Advocate.  He retired as a colonel in 2014.

After the Army, Scott worked as an innovation director for two global law firms and co-founded a northern VA technology startup.  He is active in the Mount Vernon community as a volunteer leader with Scouts BSA.
